I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist with expertise in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, with prior experience including serving as an assistant professor of psychiatry at UCSF and the medical director of an inpatient psychiatric unit. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, with a minor in psychology, from Mississippi State University, graduating summa cum laude. I attended University of Mississippi Medical Center for medical school. For residency, I trained at Tulane University, where I also served as chief resident. I was awarded the Excellence in Psychiatry award by the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association and the Lancaster Prize in Psychiatry by Tulane University.

In my practice, I focus on providing care to those struggling with their mood, who may not have had success with past treatments. Many who struggle with their mental health go years before being correctly diagnosed leading to receiving treatment that is inadequate or inappropriate and therefore ineffective. I am meticulous in assessing for the correct diagnoses, and work with patients on individualized and evidence-based treatment plans that align with their goals and values.
